TIL Desk Lucknow/ The CATC 218, which started on 4 July, is running with full enthusiasm at AMC Centre & College Lucknow Cantt. Various training activities being carried out in the camp. The morning of 10 July, started with a Lecture and Demonstration on SAHAJ YOGA meditation and stress bursting coaching by Col Vinod of AMC C&C Lucknow Cantt to make the cadets stress free and understand importance of healthy body and mind.
A Tree plantation programme was organized by camp cadets in coordination with Col. Devaiah , Officer Commanding No.1 Military Training Battalion, AMC Centre & College, Lucknow Cantt. A lecture & demonstration on disaster management mitigation, First Aid and rescue was delivered by a Team under SI Virendra Dubey of UP Police Lucknow. The cadets enjoyed the theoretical and practical lessons as well as the latest gadgets shown in the class.
During the camp, the cadets’ Central classes on Military History are also being delivered by the NCC ANOs. Further, classes, tests and training for selection of Best Cadets for RDC-2023 of Lucknow Group, to include Group Discussion, Lectures, classes on NCC service subjects are being organized. An extempore speech practice, for about 3 minutes is being organized by NCC ANO Lt Prashant Singh of FAA PG College Mahmoodabad, Sitapur along with NCC ANO Third Officer Purti Srivastava.
The cadets are also enjoying their games parades and actively participating in various games in the camp. Inter-company Basketball games and cultural practice is held along with other games like football, Volleyball, running, Badminton, kho-kho.
All cadets are undergoing weapon handling drill and made to fire .22 Rifle every day alongwith firing practice on .22 Rifle Simulators available in the camp to improve their aiming and firing skills. These facilities are available to all the cadets any time during the day.
Volunteer and Selected motivated cadets are being trained in the camp on painting and sketching by NCC ANO Second Officer Nawaz Ahmad of APS Nehru Road, Lucknow Cantt.
