TIL Desk Lucknow/ Eight-day Combined Annual Training Camp-214 of 500 NCC cadets by 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion, Lucknow started from 28 Jul 22 at AMC Center & College in Lucknow Cantonment. During this training camp, lectures will be organized by senior military and police officers on various topics along with training in weapon firing, drill, map reading, field craft, battle craft, PT, yoga and organizing various competitions.
Col Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion and Camp Commandant, informed that during this camp, various training will be given to the cadets by officers and jawans of the Army including training related to all round development of the cadets. In order to inculcate the leadership spirit among the cadets, various positions and responsibilities have been assigned to the cadets during the camp.
At the same time, Associate NCC officers have also been given various military posts of the camp so that they can run the camp smoothly and meet the challenges of the future. Col Vinod Joshi further informed that the training team of the Indian Army is committed and continuously striving for physical, mental and spiritual strength and perseverance keeping in mind the empowerment of women and Mission Shakti. He said that the cadets appearing for the NCC “C” certificate examination would be given intensive training including training in weapon handling, drill and leadership skills. Col Joshi also said that the NCC cadets selected from this training camp, will participated in the NCC Thal Sena Camp to be held in Delhi.
Two officers of the Indian Army, seven Associate Officers, Girls Cadet Instructors and 20 Army Instructors are involved in the implementation of this camp.
