A Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of 10 days is currently being conducted by 3 Naval Unit NCC, Lucknow, at Allenhouse Public School, from 1st June to 10th June 2025. A total of 421 cadets are participating in this intensive training programme.
The camp aims to impart core naval training with a special focus on Swimming, Boat Pulling, Simulator training, Seamanship, Firing, Ship Modelling, and other essential naval activities. These activities are designed to prepare the cadets for the upcoming PNSC camps and the prestigious All India Nau Sainik Camp scheduled to be held later this year.
The camp was honoured by the visit of Brig Puneet Srivastava, VSM, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Lucknow. He was accorded a Guard of Honour upon arrival, followed by a comprehensive briefing by the Camp Commandant Cdr Gaurav Shukla on the structure and objectives of the ongoing training.
Brig Puneet inspected the cadets’ dormitories, training areas, and other facilities provided by Allenhouse Public School and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. During his address to the cadets, he emphasized the immense benefits of NCC training, highlighting how it provides a distinct advantage to candidates at military training academies. ‘NCC is not just an organisation—it is a way of life’, he remarked.
He encouraged the cadets to continue their dedication and to prepare themselves for the challenges ahead in both military and civilian life. He lauded their discipline, enthusiasm, and commitment to undergoing rigorous training during their summer break. The event was concluded with the National Anthem and the NCC Song.
