Lucknow Metro, marking the completion of four years of its travelling partnership with IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), organized a special Meet and Greet event on Saturday at Hazratganj Metro Station. On this occasion, LSG’s Strategic Advisor and former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, along with batter Mukul Chaudhary, all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, and left-arm spinner M. Siddharth, visited the metro station. Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), Sushil Kumar, warmly welcomed the LSG members.
Selfie Contest Becomes a Memorable Experience for Passengers:
UPMRC had organized a ‘Selfie Contest’ for metro passengers, and winners were given the golden opportunity to meet their favorite players. The winners clicked pictures with the cricketers and were also presented with official LSG team T-shirts.
Budding Cricketers Receive Success Tips from Experts:
A special interactive session was organized for 15 budding cricketers from Abhinav Sinha Cricket Academy. The young players asked questions to Kane Williamson, Mukul Chaudhary, Arjun Tendulkar, and M. Siddharth regarding techniques, mental strength, and discipline. The players shared their experiences and offered valuable success tips, boosting the enthusiasm of the budding cricketers.
LSG Team Praises Artwork and Cleanliness of Metro Stations:
During the metro visit, the players appreciated the artworks displayed on station walls reflecting local culture. The team also praised the cleanliness of Lucknow Metro.
Extended Metro Services During Matches:
This marks the fourth consecutive year of partnership between Lucknow Metro and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). To ensure passenger convenience, Lucknow Metro is extending its services till 12:30 AM during match days. Additionally, to facilitate seamless access to Ekana Stadium, last-mile connectivity is being provided through bus services.
UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar stated that this partnership is growing stronger each year, providing citizens with a safe and comfortable travel experience, and will continue in the future.
