“Inclusive Art Movement ‘Samaroh’ Takes Off in Lucknow”

TIL Desk Lucknow:👉A new cultural movement celebrating creativity, connection, and the timeless spirit of the arts began in the heart of Lucknow with the grand launch of Samaroh – A Gathering of Artists, a non-judgemental and inclusive platform dedicated to promoting art, culture, and artistic expression across generations.

The launch event marked the opening ceremony of the India Chapter of Samaroh and the beginning of its very first episode in India — an evening where artists, performers, families, and art lovers came together to celebrate the beauty of human creativity in all its forms.

Samaroh is not just an event; it is an experience and a community of artists. Built on the idea of emotional connection through art, the platform aims to provide a safe and encouraging space where every artist feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

The launch event had Mallika Gupta as a Special Guest performing on Ganesh Vandana, along with some lovely musical performances by singers like, Jyoti Kashyap, Ishant Chaudhary, Pranshu Agarwal, Child Artist Aaradhya Singh playing Jai ho on keyboard and many more.

What makes Samaroh especially unique is its commitment to preserving and reviving Indiar performing art forms that are slowly tading away. In the upcoming Samaroh gatherings, there will be special spotlight on traditional musical performances as well, such as Sitar Vaadan, Hawaiian Guitar, live tabla and dholak jugalbandi, and other soulful performances that reflect India’s rich artistic heritage.

Designed as a family-friendly cultural gathering, Samaroh welcomes participants and audiences from all age groups – from young emerging artists to seasoned performers. At its core, Samaroh believes that art has the power to unite people beyond boundaries, generations, and backgrounds The roots of Samaroh trace back to Singapore, where the initiative originally began under the name “Mehfil.” During the Covid-19 pandemic, when the world was struggling with isolation and uncertainty, the platform evolved into “Samaroh” with the vision of bringing people together through online artistic gatherings.

Founded by Renita S Kapoor, Founder of RMS Productions OPC Pvt Ltd, Samaroh became a beacon of positivity and connection during difficult times. With the support of renowned Indian Actor Shishir Sharma, the platform quickly gained momentum and transformed into a vibrant online artistic community.

Soon, artists and supporters from across the world joined the journey, helping Samaroh grow into a beautiful artistic family. Over time, Samaroh successfully conducted more than 100 online episodes and received immense love and participation from celebrated names in the Indian entertainment and music industry, including Smita Jaykar, Kavita Seth, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Rajeshwari Sachdev, and Varun Badola, among many others.

Now, after a meaningful pause, Samaroh returns with renewed energy and a larger vision to create a physical platform where artists and audiences can reconnect, collaborate, and celebrate together.
