Launch of Lotus TMT Medical Bus in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)

TIL Desk Lucknow/ The implementation of Lotus TMT Medical Bus are being done to help rural India get medical access anytime and anywhere. This initiative to launch India’s largest hospital on Wheels, Lotus TMT Medical Bus 32 feet long by BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan sponsored by BDG Metal & Power Ltd. with medical support by Anandalok Hospital, Kolkata. It is a key strategy to facilitate access to public health care particularly to people living in remote, difficult and unreached areas. The objective of this strategy is to take healthcare to the doorstep of populations, particularly rural, vulnerable and under-served areas. The bus has served approx. 56,000 patients, conducted 400+ camps and travelled 23,000 KM in last 18 months.

The occasion was glittered by the presence of various eminent personalities like: Brajesh Pathak , Deputy Chief Minister & Cabinet Minister of Medical Education, Medical and Health and Family Welfare in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Sumit Bhatt, Director of BDG Group; Rajeev Kumar Mishra, Convenor- BDG RGSS & many other eminent guests.

This 32 feet Medical Bus has now entered in Uttar Pradesh with all primary healthcare services in it like –

  • Eye check-up and treatment
  • Dental check-up and treatment
  • General OPD
  • Pathological Laboratory
  • X-ray
  • ECG & facilities along with many other services.

Our services are almost free but a token of Rs.10/- per service is taken as a donation which may also be allowed free for those who cannot afford. Speaking to the media, Sumit Bhatt, Director of BDG Group said, “Our main motive behind launching this bus was a humble passion to serve deprived & old aged people, aiming to make healthcare accessible to cover whole rural areas of U.P through technology integration and affordability. This initiative was taken by BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan. We are also exploring opportunities for cooperation with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to reach out to those in need.
