TIL Desk Lucknow/ The two-day mega recruitment drive, Kaushal Mahotsav, concluded today in Lucknow with a resounding success, where more than 6300 candidates were shortlisted. The drive, which commenced on March 9 at the University of Lucknow, witnessed a significant footfall of over 12,000 job aspirants. The concluding ceremony of the recruitment drive was graced by the Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, who personally extended letters of intent with job offers ranging between INR 2 lakhs to INR 3 lakhs per annum to select candidates.
Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister said, “Youths have been the utmost priority of this government. Such (Kaushal Mahotsav) initiatives exemplify our commitment to Shikshit Bharat and Kaushal Bharat, as championed by our esteemed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are not only providing jobs to our youth but also nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship. Initiatives such as Startup India, Mudra Yojna, and Standup Yojna have empowered countless individuals to realize their dreams of entrepreneurship. Through the Mudra Yojna alone, the government has injected over 23 lakh crore rupees into the hands of our youth, catalyzing a wave of entrepreneurship and economic growth,” the minister said.
“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the youth of our nation have been granted an unparalleled opportunity to chase their dreams and thrive in an independent India. Today, India stands proudly as a global hub of startups.”

He congratulated National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for organising such a transformative event, where skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment converge.
Kaushal Kishore, Minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh addressed the event. Anand Dwivedi, BJP President, Lucknow Mahanagar; Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, President, BJP, Uttar Pradesh; and Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International also graced the occasion.

The Mahotsav provided jobs to the youth across sectors like BFSI, IT/ITeS, Telecom, Retail, Automotive, and Electronics. Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav represents a platform aimed at bringing employers and candidates at one platform, with employers from across sectors offering job opportunities to candidates The mega job fair witnessed strong connections, providing a unified platform for both employers and young people to engage, which was attended by organizations like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Jio, Flipkart, Axis bank, HDB Financial Services, Jubilant Food Works, Max Life Insurance, Shri Ram Insurance and V Mart Retail. Furthermore, a majority of the 20,000 job vacancies were filled by employers hailing from Lucknow and its neighbouring cities, while 19% came from outside the state.
