The inauguration was graced by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath who unveiled the facility. The state-of-the-art cancer care facility is equipped to offer world-class treatment and aims to revolutionise cancer care in Uttar Pradesh.
Medanta’s Comprehensive Cancer Care Programme is backed by one of the largest team of cancer doctors in the state and is now equipped with the first-of-its-kind technology – North India’s First Varian Edge Radiation Machine. Together with Medanta’s renowned Tumour Board patient-assessment approach, this machine will empower the doctors to target tumours with very high precision while minimising damage to healthy surrounding tissue.

The facility has highly specialised and dedicated teams of doctors comprising of organ-specific cancer surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, haemato-oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, and oncology nurses who are committed to systematically assess each patient and provide an individualised, evidence-based treatment plan for treating all types of cancer.
This facility is the first-of-its-kind in Uttar Pradesh to offer Total Body Irradiation needed for Bone Marrow Transplant patients. Other advanced therapies offered here include stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), and Rapid Arc (Volumetric Arc Therapy).
