TIL Desk Lucknow:👉 Apollomedics Super Specialty Hospital is set to celebrate the 76th Republic Day in a unique way. Under its special initiative, ‘Mission-76,’ the hospital has planned to conduct 76 CPR training sessions over 76 days. The campaign was officially launched on Wednesday (22 January 2025) with a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session for the media present at the press conference held at Apollomedics Hospital. Enthusiastic participation from numerous journalists not only provided them with essential life-saving skills but also empowered them to play a more significant role in spreading health awareness in society.

The campaign was inaugurated under the leadership of the hospital’s Director of Medical Services, Dr. Ajay Kumar. This training session marks the beginning of a series of workshops to be conducted in various institutions across the city in the coming days. These sessions form part of the hospital’s social initiative to prepare individuals to save lives in emergencies.

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is particularly critical during the Golden Hour—the initial few minutes after a person suffers a heart attack or cardiac arrest. During this period, providing timely and accurate CPR can save lives by ensuring oxygen-rich blood continues to flow to the heart and brain, significantly increasing survival chances.

Dr. Ajay Kumar stated, “In emergencies, the right technique applied at the right time can make all the difference. CPR is a skill every citizen should learn—it’s not just a technique but a powerful tool to save lives. Through this initiative, Apollomedics aims to equip everyone with this life-saving ability.”

Apollomedics Super Specialty Hospital’s MD and CEO, Dr. Mayank Somani, added, “The Golden Hour is a critical time where every second counts, and immediate help is crucial. When the heart suddenly stops, the situation becomes dire, but CPR can be the most effective life-saving technique during this time. If administered correctly and promptly, CPR can save lives. Our Mission-76 is designed with the goal of spreading this knowledge to as many people as possible. We urge everyone to participate in these training sessions and become life-savers during emergencies. This step can make a significant difference in saving lives.”

This initiative by Apollomedics is not just a campaign but a mission to empower every individual to handle emergencies effectively. The hospital invites all institutions, organizations, and individuals to become part of this unique initiative, ensuring timely action to save lives in critical moments.
