Marking a significant milestone in advanced cardiac care, doctors at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, have successfully saved the life of a 67-year-old patient battling a severe cardiac condition by performing a dual chamber leadless pacemaker.
The patient, who was suffering from chest discomfort and palpitations and had been experiencing repeated episodes of fainting since 3days/months, was brought to the emergency department at Max Hospital, Lucknow. Upon admission, a detailed evaluation revealed Sick Sinus Syndrome—a condition in which the heart’s natural pacemaker fails to maintain a normal heartbeat.
