Ten day Annual Camp of 19 UP NCC Girls Battalion started at AMC Stadium in Lucknow Contonment

TIL Desk Lucknow/ Ten day Annual Camp of 19 UP NCC Girls Battalion started at AMC Stadium in Lucknow Cantonment on 15 June 2022. This is the first camp of the year 2022-23 of 19 UP NCC Girls Battalion. This camp, which will run till June 24, 2022, is being organized at the AMC Stadium in the Cantonment. 500 girl cadets are participating in this camp. Along with this, 60 girl cadets are also participating in this camp to prepare for the Army camp.

Colonel Dinesh Kanojia, Commanding Officer of 19 UP NCC Girls Battalion said that during the camp, the girl cadets would be fired on June 16 and 17. Under the training program, training in drill weapons, map reading, field craft, barrel craft, first aid, help liaison and personality development will be given. Apart from this training, debate, speech competitions will also be organized for the overall development of girl cadets.

To make the cadets aware, experts from different fields will be called for guest lectures in the camp for 06 days. Along with this, the cultural team will be selected for the upcoming inter group competitions. For this, each college will be given one day each to showcase their art. At the end the winners will be awarded.

Brigadier Ravi Kapoor, Group Commander of Lucknow NCC Group Headquarters had a special contribution to organize this NCC camp in the military area. He met senior army officers of AMC Center and College Lucknow and made sure to provide suitable place for organizing this camp in the cantonment. For this, Colonel Dinesh Kanojia, Commanding Officer of the Battalion and Camp Commandant, thanked the senior AMC officers including Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Lucknow Brigadier Ravi Kapoor.
