TIL Desk Lucknow/ Doremi Kids Club in association with Amren Foundation’s Lucknow Film Forum proudly presented ‘Andher Nagri’, a spectacular play performed by talented children of Lucknow on 25th May at Bharatendu Natya Akademi. The play ‘Andher Nagri’ was a resounding success, with a packed auditorium that included parents, teachers and children. The young performers enthralled the audience with their acting skills, singing and dancing abilities, bringing to life the characters in the play. The play, directed by renowned theater artist Apurva Shah, showcased the immense talent of the young performers. The children had been rehearsing for days to perfect their roles, and their hard work and dedication paid off in the form of a flawless performance.

The play Andher Nagri was a satire wherein a queen is destroyed by her own deeds because of an irrational autocratic government system. The wit and humour that pervaded throughout the play profoundly entertained the audience. The Chief Guest for the event was Dinesh Khanna, director of Bharatendu Natya Akademi, a brilliant achiever and renowned personality in the world of theatre.

Renuka Tandon, President of Amren Foundation’s Lucknow Film Forum said, “Lucknow Film Forum has always aimed at providing a platform for children as well as adults to exhibit their talent to the world. I’m glad that these children have been exposed to the limitless possibilities that Media and Entertainment Industry holds for them. With their wonderful performance today, I can already see stars in the making.”

“We are thrilled with the success of ‘Andher Nagri’,” said Baani Kaur, the co-founder of Doremi Kids Club. Saahiba Tulsi, the co- founder, said, “Our goal is to provide children with a platform to showcase their talents and to encourage them to pursue their passions.” Ritika Singh, the co-founder, said, “The play was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the young performers and the entire team behind the production.” Kulsum Khan also played an important role in the proper execution of the play.

Chief guests for the event were Aparna Yadav Politician, a social reformer, and Dinesh Khanna, director of Bhatendu Natya Academy. Prominent personalities present at the event were Renuka Tandon, Ambrish Tandon, Kanak Rekha Chauhan, Dr Anamta Rizvi, Varun Rastogi, Sagar Tulsi, Tushar, etc.
