The first day of Riwaayat 8.0 commenced with great enthusiasm and marked the formal beginning of the university’s annual cultural festival. The day successfully set the tone for the celebrations ahead. Students, faculty members, and guests gathered to witness the vibrant display of artistic excellence.
The proceedings began at 9:00 AM with the Inauguration Ceremony The event formally opened the festival and underscored the significance of cultural preservation and artistic engagement within the academic community. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the respected heads of the institution. This was followed by a graceful Ganesh Vandana performed by Natraj, the dance society of Tehzeeb.
Soon after the inauguration, the Singing Preliminaries were conducted. Participants presented a diverse range of performances, showcasing both classical and contemporary musical styles. The competition highlighted vocal proficiency, tonal clarity, rhythm, and emotional expression.
The Poetry Competition, Rangeen Alfaaz took place served as a platform for participants to articulate their thoughts, experiences, and creative perspectives through literary expression. Original compositions and recitations resonated deeply with the audience, covering themes such as identity, heritage, resilience, and aspiration. The prizes were bagged by Rishita Prajapati, Anmol Mishra, and Manas. Simultaneously, the Dance Competition Preliminaries were conducted. The performances featured a variety of styles, ranging from classical forms rooted in tradition to contemporary and fusion choreographies.
