TIL Desk Lucknow:On return of UP’s NCC contingent of Republic Day Parade-2025 from Delhi, NCC cadets were honored with Gold & Silver Medals and NCC Inter-Group Banner by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel at Rajbhavan, Lucknow on 06 Feb 2025.
Governor presented six Governor’s Gold Medals and six Governor’s Silver Medals to the best cadets and presented prizes to the RDC contingent of Uttar Pradesh.
Cadets who were awarded Governor’s Gold Medal are – Cadet Kanishk, Cadet Anshika Sinha and Cadet Mansi from NCC Group Headquarters Ghaziabad, Cadet Kriti Nautiyal from NCC Group Headquarters Agra and Cadet Vishal Singh and Cadet Anshika Kumari from NCC Group Headquarters Lucknow.
Cadets who were awarded Governor’s Silver Medal are – Cadet Arnav Deepak Chandravanshi from NCC Group Headquarters Prayagraj, Cadet Anurag Kumar from NCC Group Headquarters Aligarh, Cadet Mahdeep Krishna Sharma from NCC Group Headquarters Bareilly, Cadet Ritika from NCC Group Headquarters Meerut, Cadet Gorma Manchu from NCC Group Headquarters Ghaziabad and Cadet Nitish Yadav from NCC Group Headquarters Lucknow. The Governor also gave awards to the ANOs and PI staff during this ceremony.
Apart from this, the prestigious Inter-Group Championship Banner for the best NCC Group was also awarded to the winning Group Commander Ghaziabad. The banner was received by Brigadier Kulwinder Singh, SM. After the conclusion of Inter-Group Competition for the best group, the winning group is selected from among 11 Groups of Uttar Pradesh. Drills, firing, weapons training, obstacle courses etc. were part of the competition.
A colorful cultural program was presented by NCC cadets at Raj Bhavan. The dance presented by the award winning group of Republic Day Camp Team was highly appreciated by the guests.
Honorable Governor addressed the dignified gathering at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow. During this ceremony, dignitaries including other senior army officers and NCC cadets were present.
127 NCC cadets from Uttar Pradesh participated in the Republic Day Camp-2025 organized in New Delhi. 14 girl and 11 boy cadets of NCC Directorate Uttar Pradesh were selected for the Republic Day Parade, held on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi on 26 Jan 2025. A total of 08 NCC cadets were also selected for the Guard of Honor which includes five boy cadets each from Senior Division & Senior Wing.
