Jakson Solar, a part of the Jakson Group, launched its ‘Solar on Wheels’ awareness campaign in Lucknow with the aim of promoting rooftop solar adoption and making clean energy solutions more accessible to consumers across Uttar Pradesh.
The campaign was formally flagged off from the UPNEDA office in Lucknow. Senior officials from UPNEDA and Jakson Group were present on the occasion. The event was led by Sudhanshu Pokhariyal, CEO of Jakson Distributed Energy. He was joined by UPNEDA Secretary Pankaj Singh, Mahendra Singh Yadav, National Retail Head of Jakson Solar, and Pritesh Kumar Srivastava, State Head of Jakson Solar for Uttar Pradesh.
As part of the initiative, a specially designed awareness vehicle equipped with educational displays, product demonstrations, and customer information materials on solar energy will travel across Lucknow and nearby regions over the next month. The campaign aims to engage homeowners, businesses, and local communities, educating them about the benefits of rooftop solar, available government subsidy schemes, installation procedures, and long-term savings.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhanshu Pokhariyal, CEO of Jakson Distributed Energy, said, “Rooftop solar has the potential to play a significant role in India’s clean energy transition. However, awareness and consumer confidence remain key factors in its widespread adoption. Through the ‘Solar on Wheels’ initiative, we are taking solar energy information directly to people and helping them make informed decisions about clean energy solutions. Uttar Pradesh is an important market for us, and this initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring wider access to reliable and sustainable energy.”
The launch event witnessed enthusiastic participation from visitors and stakeholders. Consumers showed keen interest in rooftop solar systems, subsidy-related information, and the long-term economic and environmental benefits of solar energy.
Through this month-long campaign, Jakson Solar aims to increase consumer awareness, strengthen confidence in rooftop solar solutions, and contribute to India’s broader renewable energy goals by delivering solar energy information directly to communities.
