Visit to Bharwara STP on World Water Day: Students Learn the Importance of Water Management

TIL Desk Lucknow:👉On the occasion of World Water Day, an educational tour was organized for students from Invertis University at the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) located in Bharwara. Keeping in mind this year’s theme—”Water and Gender: Where Water Flows, Equality Grows”—the students were provided with detailed information regarding the importance of water conservation, water management, and sanitation.

During the visit, the students were shown how the city’s wastewater is treated at the STP and rendered suitable for reuse. Additionally, they were apprised of the modern technologies, machinery, and safety standards employed at the facility. The objective of the program was to educate the youth about the sustainable utilization of water resources and to highlight its significance in fostering equality within society.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Mathpal, Project Director at Suez, stated, “World Water Day is not merely an event, but a medium for us to recognize our collective responsibility towards water. Facilities such as the Bharwara STP play a pivotal role—not only in keeping the city clean but also in meeting future water demands through the process of water reuse. It is through the active participation of the youth that the message of water conservation and equality will reach every section of society.”

At the conclusion of the program, the students gained a firsthand understanding of the plant’s operations and pledged to remain vigilant and proactive regarding water conservation.
