TIL Desk Lucknow:👉Towards realizing the ambitious campaign ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the joint efforts of Suez in India, SUDA and DUDA took an exemplary initiative in the capital Lucknow.

Under a special program organized at the Bharwara STP campus, Suez India, the implementing agency working under the One City One Operator Scheme, successfully completed the tree plantation program with the participation of women self-help groups (SHGs) selected by urban bodies.

On this occasion, plants of different species were planted in the Bharwara STP campus, but the Sindoor plant was the center of special attraction, which was planted by the members of the women self-help group with full emotional attachment. This plant was considered a symbol of respect for motherhood, culture and nature.

Present at the event, Project Director of Suez India, Rajesh Mathpal said: “‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ is not only a message of environmental protection, but it is also our tribute to the motherly feeling. The participation of women groups in this campaign is very inspiring and Suez in India is giving every possible support to this campaign.”

Officers and employees of SUDA, DUDA and Suez in India were present in large numbers in the tree plantation program. This unique confluence of environmental protection and women empowerment made Bharwara STP a living example that when institutions, administration and common people work together, positive change is certain.
