Pak Cabinet assures 'moral, diplomatic support' to Kashmiris

TIL Desk/World/Islamabad/ The first Cabinet meeting held today under the leadership of Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi assured the country’s “moral and diplomatic support” to the Kashmiris in their “fight for self determination”.

Prime Minister Abbasi, while outlining his future plans during the meeting, promised to continue the journey of “progress and democracy” initiated by ex-premier Nawaz Sharif. Abbasi put forward a 32-point agenda which was approved by the Cabinet in its entirety, the report said.

The prime minister reiterated that all projects, including the USD 50 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, energy infrastructure to get rid of load shedding, economic revival and the fight against terrorism, would be carried out in “letter and spirit”.

Abbasi assured “moral and diplomatic support” of Pakistan to the people of Kashmir in their “fight for self determination”. Abbasi also vowed to complete the developmental plans of 10 years in the next 10 months. He stated that the Cabinet will work both on short term goals and long-term targets simultaneously.
