Pak Parliament passes 2 resolutions on Iran, Gulf crisis

TIL Desk/World/Islamabad/Pakistan parliament has passed two unanimous resolutions condemning terror attacks in Iran and expressing concern at the diplomatic rift in the Gulf region. The first resolution moved by Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid expressed solidarity with the Iranian people.

The National Assembly in the resolution strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on Iran’s parliamentary complex and the shrine of revolutionary founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini which killed 17 people and wounded dozens.

The resolution reiterated the resolve to “jointly combat the menace of terrorism with our neighbours in the region,” ‘Radio Pakistan’ reported. Speaking at the floor of the House, the members said the whole nation stood with Iranians in this hour of grief.

They said that terrorism was a common threat and collective efforts were needed for its eradication. The House also adopted another unanimous resolution expressing deep concerns over the recent diplomatic crises in the Gulf region.
