On the occasion of World Earth Day, Suez—the organization operating under the ‘One City, One Operator’ initiative—collaborated with IWAI to conduct a tree plantation drive at the 345 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) located in Bharwara. During the event, saplings of various species were planted within the premises, conveying a message of environmental conservation.
World Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd with the objective of raising awareness regarding environmental protection. This day serves to convey a vital message to people: reduce the use of plastics and safeguard the Earth by planting as many trees as possible. Driven by this very philosophy, Suez undertook this initiative.
Suez is deeply committed to sustainability in Lucknow and is continuously striving to maintain a lush green environment within the Bharwara STP complex. The company actively promotes environmental conservation by organizing such programs periodically.
Speaking on the occasion, Project Director Rajesh Mathpal stated, “Earth Day reminds us of our responsibilities towards the environment. Suez is committed to sustainable development and environmental conservation. Even small efforts, such as planting trees, can bring about significant positive changes in the future. Our objective is not limited merely to operations, but also extends to actively participating in the preservation of nature.”
