TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/BJP MP and RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha suggested this morning that he would soon introduce a private member’s bill in Parliament seeking the construction of a Ram temple on a disputed site in Ayodhya. The Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case is currently in the Supreme Court. The court recently said that it would decide in January when to begin hearing the case.
Sinha today tweeted, “To those who keep asking the BJP and the RSS about when Ram temple will be constructed, I have a straight question: Will you support my private member bill?” Sinha also questioned why the Supreme Court was delaying hearing the matter and said that the issue of a Ram temple in Ayodhya is a “top priority for Hindu society.
“Will Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mayawati support the bill, Sinha also asked. “They frequently ask the date to @RSSorg @BJP4India, now onus on them to answer.” He also asked how many days the SC took to give the verdict on Article 377, the Jallikattu issue, and the Sabarimala temple ban.
“But Ayodhya is not in priority for decades and decades. It is a top priority of Hindu society,” he asked. National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah said the BJP thinks Lord Ram will help it win next year’s general elections, but God “will not help them win the elections.””It is the people who will vote, neither Lord Ram nor Allah will vote,” he told.
