Amren Foundation's Dakshpeeth showcased its Lemongrass essential oil

TIL Desk Lucknow/ Amren Foundation’s Dakshpeeth, in line with its commitment to sustainable economic development, recently participated in the Kisan Mela. The foundation showcased its Lemongrass essential oil, a product of collaboration between CSIR and CIMAP. Through this venture, Amren Foundation aims to empower women farmers in the BKT region, providing them sustainable livelihood.

Mrs Renuka Tandon, President of Amren Foundation, said, “Lemongrass essential oil is not just a product, but a testament to the dedication and resilience of these women farmers. ” “Through our partnership with CSIR and CIMAP, we have cultivated this high-quality essential oil, creating opportunities for these women to thrive economically.”

The participation in Kisan mela created a platform for the foundation to raise awareness about the Lemongrass essential oil and its benefits. Visitors were able to learn about its unique properties and its usefulness in various applications, including aromatherapy, skincare, and culinary uses.

Renuka Tandon, president of The Foundation, further added that our organisation aims to promote the Lemongrass essential oil as a sustainable alternative to conventional products, encouraging consumers to support these women farmers and make environmentally friendly choices. By doing so, they contribute to the economic growth and empowerment of the BKT community.
