First batch of 5 Rafale Fighter flies out of France

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ The first batch of Rafale fighter jets took off from France for India on Monday. The first batch of five Rafale jets will join the growing Indian fleet of aircraft after they land in India on Wednesday. The Rafale jets will halt in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday and take off again for India to reach Ambala on the morning of July 29.

Rafale jets will halt in the UAE on Tuesday and take off again for India to reach Ambala on the morning of July 29. The Rafale fighter jets are capable of carrying a range of highly effective weapons, including the Meteor air-to-air missile and Scalp cruise missile.

The Rafale jets will come with various India-specific modifications, including Israeli helmet-mounted displays, radar warning receivers, low-band jammers, 10-hour flight data recording, infra-red search and tracking systems among others.
